			<title>T-Mac on "Racist boxer uses the internet to be racist: American masculinity to blame?"</title>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Jesus Christ...should we be surprised by this (link below)? Boxing is one of the most hyper-masculine sports in the world. This machismo-filled chest-thumping internet rant is just the latest example of what happens in an environment that embraces and relies on hyper-masculinity to make money. I have three questions:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;1. Is masculinity fundamentally flawed? Has being a man been defined as being racist/homophobic/sexist in our culture, or is it possible to be a mans-man and not a total asshole?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;2. Along those lines, is it possible to be masculine and not eventually spiral into hyper-masculinity that lends itself to this sort of stuff? Is hyper-masculinity inevitable? &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;3. Is the American version of masculinity better or worse than in other countries that are frequently less socially progressive than we are? What I'm wondering is that given how advanced we are in other areas (women can vote/drive, inter-racial marriage is legal, etc), doesn't this sort of hyper-masculine stuff sting even more since we should fucking know better?  &#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;sure enough, he eventually got loud again.  good story!&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;thanks for the shout-out in the lost episode!&#60;/p&#62;

			<title>T-Mac on "Flying sucks"</title>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;You guys should do a podcast on how much flying ruins lives. I bring this up here because the 3-2-1 podcast was basically the only reason I didn't jump out of a fucking window at the Chico airport recently when I was stranded for 5 hours. Listening to your dragon-oral stories made the time fly, which is more than I can say for my ass. Again, this is CHICO. The airport is the size of a two-car garage, and there's not even a bar there so I couldn't drink myself into oblivion as God intended. Apparently there are only 4 flights a day from Chico to San Francisco, and if one flight gets delayed (which happened due to &#34;clouds,&#34; since it's 18-fucking-90 and the shit-eating Wright Brothers are flying in Nor Cal) then all the other flights get backed up exponentially. This meant that when I finally got to SF I had missed my connection to LAX (and was still annoyingly sober (hey guys, maybe I have a problem with booze? Or do I just hate flying? Can't it be both?! ANSWER ME!). &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;When I talked to the United customer service folks, they refused to put me up in a hotel because delays aren't their fault while mechanical things are. My response, like my pants, was two-fold: aren't both of those things (mechanical delays and weather delays) equally NOT MY FAULT, and second, what could I have done differently to have prevented this from happening? The United lady's response to both questions was &#34;don't fly United.&#34; My response was &#34;don't fucking worry, I won't.&#34; I then demanded to talk to her supervisor (that shit actually works!) and negotiated a hotel/meal voucher, and a flight to the much-closer-to-long-beach-and-much-less-crazy Orange County airport for the following day. It turns out that over a decade of debate experience is good for something other than a general malaise about the state of young people today. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Now, you guys fly around a lot, I assume. Please tell me your best flying stories, specifically if they involve Canadian airlines that I assume have Mooses (meese?) painted on the wings. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;OH! And one more thing--who the fuck are these people who try to talk to me at the airport? When I fly, I've got an agenda--several podcasts I've been saving just for this flight, a good book to read, and/or some work to do (i.e. grading shitty undergrad comm criticism papers, spoiler alert, you all FAIL). When I was stuck in Chico, some crazy Iranian woman wouldn't leave me the hell alone and kept wanting to tell me about her cult, or something. I was all, &#34;DRAGON BLOWJOBS! AND THEN MOSES RIPPED HIS DICK OFF!&#34; And then she left me alone. Thanks, 3-2-1 podcast!
